Yup it's true we're back again after a long hiatus. No good excuses for this one unfortunately just that asshole "life" getting in the way as usual. As we didn't have a proper topic for this recording, we are presenting another addition to the sequential "Dolphin Roadkill" series. Ben and I have a long discussion on the news out of Comic-Con in San Diego and then meander a bit into the realm of horror TV. After that we've got a discussion on the newest Schwarzenegger film, Sabotage (or at least new to us anyway) and then a chat about 300:Rise of an Empire, the sequel/prequel to 300.

Hey gang, back again after a slight hiatus on our part. That jerk "life" keeps getting in the way and we figured we gotta get something up on this here site. So what better than a chat about some recent watches by both Ben and myself? We start off with a general talk on the hit series True Detective (except a more detailed podcast in the future), I talk about my enjoyment of the new movie Snowpiercer (and Ben rips me a new one for liking it at all), and just some general discussion on other movies and or pop culture we've consumed in the last few weeks. Also on a downer note we chat about the sudden passing of the late great Dave Brockie of GWAR fame and all around great actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
Hey gang! Ben and I got together this week through the magic Skype for a themed episode. We've been awful list-y lately so this time around we've got a topic with which to rant and rave about, the Sword and Sorcery genre. We kicked things off with a general chat on some recent watches and then quickly moved onto the topic at hand. Ben takes control from here as this is a subject near and dear to him. After a general chat on what the genre entails we move into some movies that highlight how great this topic really is. Will we answer the riddle of steel? You'll just have to listen to us ramble on to find out.
Why who's that sexy devil to the left? Could he perhaps be staring in our of our most anticipated movies for this year? Who the fuck knows you're just gonna have to listen to the podcast!!! Back again gang, after an epic two-parter that looked at the movies of 2013 that may have tickled our fancy. And what better way to follow that up than to look at the movies of 2014 that are tickling us some more?? That sounds just terrible. At any rate Ben and I sat down through the magic of Skype again to countdown our favorites for the coming year. Will there be terrible picks that we'll both argue over the merits of including it in the list? You fuckin' bet! So grab a beer and sit down with us while we regale y'all with our great (terrible) picks for the year 2014. And some reason we decided to start at #1 and work our way down. Who knows why, maybe beer fairies arrived sooner than usual...
Back again jerks, for another round of alcohol fueled ranting. We talked so damn long about this subject that it had to be spliced up into two separate podcasts. Continuing on where we left off from the previous installment, Ben and I are chatting more about the movies of 2013 that have been projected into our brain. In addition because no summary would be complete without a top "whatever" list, we've complied our favorites in five different genres: drama, sci-fi, comedy, action, and horror. Will there be surprises? Probably! Will we agree? Fuck that guy I say. Give er' listen and see if any of your favorites from the year that was 2013 made the list.
Well hey there gang, your intrepid heroes have returned from beyond the grave! Been a long time since we've posted a podcast on this here site but we've finally got a new one for ya! Schedules have been slightly conflicting over the last few months and given that we both don't live in the province or time zone anymore it's been difficult to say the least, to organize a time to do some recording. With a new year ahead we've figured out a way around all the complexities of recording the Zombie Dolphins podcast and will be releasing some new content for your ear-holes through the magic of Skype and various audio editing programs. Hooray for you jerks! First up for the new year, Ben and I have recorded an epic two-parter chatting about the movies of 2013 that we've watched/heard of/ranted on/bitched about/etc, etc, etc. A shit ton of movies were released in the past year and while we obviously don't have time to watch and review them all, we believe this a good smattering choices from the genres for the year 2013. Once the "epic" blockbusters have been splattered all over the screens throughout the year but for us it was all about the smaller movies that got the most joy. Which ones you ask? Well you'll just have to give this shit listen eh? Stay tuned for Part 2 of the 2013 extravaganza next week.
We're back again for another round of alcohol-fueled tirades. This week as we didn't have a specific topic we're throwing out another round of Dolphin Roadkill as it's been dubbed. Basically shooting the shit about what going on in the entertainment world along with movies we've seen recently. Joining us on the cat hair infused couches at North St Suites we're got Sean, our resident comic book expert, and Calen, our resident Fast and Furious expert (I don't think he'll be rushing to put that on his resume). In terms of movie choices we've got everything from the obligatory Fast and Furious 6 to the Maniac remake to Die Hard 5 and Dark Skies. And as a bonus there's even a rant or two about the Microsoft debacle and the new Superman movie. So sit back, relax with a few cold ones, and let the smooth stylings of Zombie Dolphins fill your minds. (Also minor apologies for the minor spikes that minorly happen in the early goings. We had a problem Tappy McTapperson so we broke his hands half through the recording, that'll learn him....)
Welcome all to another exciting adventure with the Zombie Dolphins crew. We're back again with a brand new episode this week to cleanse your palettes from the mess-terpiece (partially anyway) that is Star Trek: Into Darkness. This time around Ben and I are exploring dystopian visions of the future told through the eyes of those wacky folks living in the 1970's. The three movies we've chosen are: THX 1138, Logan's Run, and Soylent Green. Now it should go without saying that to talk about these movies properly we'll be diving neck-deep into spoilers so if you haven't checked these movies out, what the hell are you waiting for?? Go watch the shit outta them and then get your asses back here afterward for drunken story time with Ben and Josh. Also whoever can spot the cat meowing first, head on down to the local grocery shack and take whatever loaf of bread you'd like off the shelf as a prize from us. But don't forget to pay for it! We don't condone stealing here folks...
Well hey there gang! We've got another rousing Zombie Dolphins From Space podcast to fill your ears for the coming week ahead. This time around Ben and I have gathered at the home studio on North St Suites to discuss the new Star Trek movie ... Into Darkness. Not an all together bad movie per se but wellll you'll just have to listen to the podcast to get our true thoughts on the matter. And it should go without saying but we will be spoiling the shit outta this movie so it's assumed that (a) you've already watched it and/or (b) don't care about having the major plot points spoiled. So sit back with your favorite beverage and relax to smooth stylings of Zombie Dolphins filling your living room. As an added bonus, the first person to comment on the post with how many times a cat meows in the background wins a prize .... a free trip outside!! (Seriously even if you don't win go outside anyway, the world misses you). Also we had a technical glitch that made the last ten minutes of the podcast practically un-listenable, so a new outro was recorded at the last minute in case you're wondering abou the change in audio quality.
Welcome back again to another thrilling Zombie Dolphins adventure .... through time itself!!! In case you smart fucks haven't figured it out already this week's instalment sees your intrepid hosts wade through the murky waters of time travel. It's actually damn amazing how many different genres use time travel as a major or minor plot device. Everything from straight up action movies (Looper) to dramatic flicks (The Time Traveller's Wife) to comedies (Hot Tub Time Machine) have used this idea with varying degrees of success and this week we've got a great collection of flicks to talk about that fall into this genre. Also fair warning that thar be minor or major spoilers ahead on three movies we are talking about tonight: Looper (2012), The Time Machine (1960) and Timecrimes (2007). Hard to not spoiler some plot details unfortunately when discussing these movies but that just means you gotta get off your ass watch some damn movies!
